carey mulligan - w magazine january 2012

So I'm firmly back into my blogging swing, and general interwebz stalking. I have been enjoying catching up on all the things I have missed whilst I was away, crazy to think the world went on without me?! One of the first things I stumbled across was the just released images of the drop-dead-gorgeous Carey Mulligan for W Magazine.

Now, Carey is a girl who always steals my heart when it comes to her fashion choices, and this editorial and cover continue to have me drooling. Each shot has a very sixties mod feel (hello mini Twiggy below) but also stays true to Mulligan's kooky girlie style. Although I feel the cover is a new direction for Carey and not something I would usually expect of her; which is always a good thing, as it's always  good to have fun with fashion, I'm sure celebs feel the same way.

Once again, neither Carey or W Magazine disappoint, I love the tone of this shoot, the simple yet structured shapes and neutral colour scheme is something I always love. Be still my beating heart. I actually cannot choose which photo is my favourite as I love each one for a different reason. All I know is I can't wait to see what Carey does next fashion wise, and I know I will be equally jealous of her beauty and style all over again.
